El Ayuntamiento antepone los interes del ladrillo y la especulación a la sostenibilidad ambiental y social del PGOM

Ecologistas en Acción-Cieza califica de auténtico disparate y escándalo que el Ayuntamiento de Cieza, en contra de toda racionalidad, haya tomado la decisión, inaudita, de convocar un Pleno extraordinario para el viernes a las 6 de la tarde, a pocas horas de la jornada de reflexión, con la intención de aprobar provisionalmente el PGOM (Plan General de Ordenación Municipal) anteponiendo los intereses del lobby del ladrillo a la sosteniblidad ambiental y social de la planificación territorial.
El Ayuntamiento de Cieza pretende aprobar provisionalmente el PGOM desoyendo los requerimientos ambientales que se establecían en la DIA (Declaración de Impacto Ambiental) y sin garantías de abastecimiento de agua para las miles de viviendas previstas.
Con esta sorprendente decisión, para Ecologistas en Acción, el Ayuntamiento de Cieza demuestra que, frente a los criterios de racionalidad y sostenbilidad en la ordenación del territorio, el consistorio ha apostado por satisfacer las necesidades del lobby del ladrillo que pretende obtener pingües beneficios con la recalificación urbanística de 30 millones de metros cuadrados, a pesar de su elevado impacto ambiental y territorial.
El gobierno municipal pretende aprobar provisionalmente un PGOM que carece de recursos hídricos (el informe de la CHS es negativo) para abastecer las más de 37.000 nuevas viviendas y 6 campos de golf previstos, que propone urbanizar suelo forestal y áreas agrícolas subvencionadas para la modernización de regadíos en favor de complejos turísticos y campos de golf, recalifica hábitats de interés comunitario, e incrementa brutalmente la superficie de suelo urbanizable.

Sin embargo en, al menos tres de estas urbanizaciones, más del 50% del suelo de las mismas se corresponde con Hábitats de Interés Comunitario, lo que debería suponer que este suelo fuera protegido. En cuanto al suelo forestal, éste se vería directamente afectado en el desarrollo de cinco sectores urbanizables.
